April Myers has over 15 years of experience in property management and has successfully completed her M-100. Beyond her professional accomplishments, April is the founder of Aleta’s Purse, a nonprofit organization, in honor of her mother that provides essential toiletries to those in need—a mission close to her heart. She is also a licensed Chaplain, offering support and guidance to her community.

In her personal time, April finds peace and inspiration by the ocean, where she enjoys the calm of the beach and the rhythm of the waves. 

Chad Traugott

Chad Traugott has over 20 years of experience in property management and real estate.

Chad likes horse training and competitions. He lives with his partner, Chris, has two dogs, Luke Duke and Big Money, a cat named Tomahawk, and three horses: Reggie, Shooter, and Banks.

His favorite vacation spot is Key West, and he dreams of traveling to Australia.

Annessa Cass

Annessa Cass started working at TNWLC 16 years ago, fresh out of college. She has always worked with numbers, from working at a hair salon as the bookkeeper to interning at Smithsonian. She completed her MBA degree from Robert Smith Business School of University of Maryland in 2013.

Annessa is inspired by Butet Manurung, who is one of the founders of Sokola, an organization that provides alternative education for indigenous people in isolated and remote areas in Indonesia.

Annessa can recite the longest word in the English dictionary, collects 90s Polly Pocket toys, does junk journaling and loves good dad jokes.

Annessa lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband, their son Troy, two cats, a fish, and Clifford, a copper-eating caterpillar.
Her favorite vacation spot is Bali, particularly Ubud. She has also visited Madrid and Santorini and would love to go to New Zealand and Switzerland.

Kat Danaher

Kat Danaher has 10 years of experience in real estate and property management, and 22 years in administrative roles. She is also a Notary Public.

Kat has been living in DC for 27 years and enjoys fostering dogs, volunteering at the US Botanic Garden, and being outdoors (especially by the ocean). She enjoys playing Frosthaven with friends and her favorite movie is Clue.

Kat wants to continue exploring Africa and Italy, as well as visiting Australia for the first time.

Dionté Dupree

Dionté Dupree has 17 years of experience in administrative roles and holds a DC Property Manager’s License.

He is passionate about arts (music, creative writing, dance, photography & videography). He loves to create on his own and assist family, friends, and network with special artistic projects and ventures.

The oldest of four siblings, Dionté dreams of exploring different areas of California, and while he’s there, he is definitely going past the front gates of Neverland Ranch.

Jack Eisen-Markowitz has been working in property management and real estate since 2011 and holds a Property Manager’s license.

He is passionate about soccer, basketball, poker, and any competitive sports or games. Jack played soccer in college at Emory. Jack lives with his wife and two kids.

He once met Hillary and Bill Clinton at the same time and was very starstruck.

Michelle Schall CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®

Michelle Schall brings 13 years of property management experience to her role. She holds a Master’s degree in Family Therapy and a BS in Psychology, along with certifications including CMCA, AMS, and PCAM.

Michelle enjoys listening to books while inspecting properties or driving. She had volunteered as a crisis counselor, family counselor, and Girl Scout Leader.

At home, Michelle shares her life with Layla, her dog, and Kiwi, a bird. She is also a mother to eight children, having dedicated 11 years as a stay-at-home mom.

Michelle dreams of exploring the world and loves visits to the beach.

Layla

Director of Pets/Cuddles

Layla is a certified cuddler and crumb snatcher. She likes to protect her home and the office from any squirrels or birds. She was rescued from a flood with her littermates. They were all fostered before she got adopted by her family (she was her foster’s favorite).

She enjoys tennis, gardening & houseplants, and traveling to new countries.

Originally from South Carolina, she is left-handed and has a mini bernedoodle named Friday.

Her dream vacations include trips to Patagonia or Thailand.

Angelo Blakey

Angelo Blakey has been working in accounting for 12 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, and will earn his Doctorate degree in Business Administration in May 2025.

Angelo loves watching and playing sports, and he is good at playing baseball. He also loves traveling, and has a passion for Christ, his family, and friends. He volunteers quarterly at his church doing several projects, such as “Brother’s Keeper” and “Feed the 5000.”

He has been married to his wife Alicia for 15 years and has two children.

His favorite vacation spot is Maui, Hawaii, and he dreams of visiting Sicily, Italy.

Lakia Prue has 27 years of experience in property management and real estate.

Her hobbies include spending time with her four dogs and cooking, which turned into a side business selling dinners for various events. She was inspired by her Great Aunt in her career choice and influenced by her grandmother and mother in her passion for cooking. Lakia also loves to volunteer, with recent experiences at the Animal Shelter and Food Bank. She has previously volunteered at a senior home, daycare center, and church.

Lakia dreams of visiting Paris, and Mexico was her favorite vacation spot so far.

Tangela Crosby has over 30 years of experience in property management and real estate.

Her passion is to help those who are thought of as not being able to help themselves. Her family calls her the “nurturer”. She believes her purpose is to serve and that property management provides her the avenue to serve others.

Tangela has been married to her husband Kevin since 2016. She has one daughter, two stepchildren and two grandchildren.

She loves to vacation near the water, although she doesn’t swim.

Breiana Jackson has been working in administrative roles for 5 years.

She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, and indulging in junk food.

Breiana’s favorite volunteer experience was the TNWLC Connects event at Bread for the City.

She has two beautiful daughters and three awesome bonus sons with her partner, and comes from a large family known for multiple sets of twins, including herself. Breiana also has ten additional brothers and sisters and an XL Bully named King.

Her favorite vacation spot so far has been Las Vegas.

Dustin Barnett has been working in property management since March 2015, initially starting as a leasing temp through a staffing agency. He is a proud graduate of Howard University.

Dustin has a passion for helping others, which has led him to volunteer efforts such as organizing recess-like games days for his church community. He also enjoys working out or playing a good card game with friends and family and loves a good joke.

Dustin has three children, Wynter, Sevin, and Laila, and is considering adding a bird to the family. Dustin’s dream vacation would be to visit the Great Wall of China.

David Avalos has worked in the property management industry for 8 years, having been with TNWLC for 6 years. Among his accomplishments, David earned an online associate degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix in 2017.

Outside of work, David’s hobbies include hiking, camping, fishing, watching movies, and playing soccer.

A fun fact about David is his past fear of heights, which he conquered by skydiving from 10,000 feet, ultimately overcoming his fear.

David has a 7-year-old son who loves playing soccer and would like to become a professional soccer player one day. He also has a 3-year-old Pyrenean French dog who is very smart, playful and protective of him and his son.

His favorite vacation spot is his home country of El Salvador.

Kevin is married with children, and loves to vacation at South Beach, Florida. Additionally, he enjoyed traveling to capital cities such as Paris, Madrid and Tokyo.

Jennifer has been a concierge at Kenyon Square for 16 years. Recently, she has been promoted to Assistant Property Manager.

Jennifer volunteers for a non-profit that assists women with clothing and accessories. In her free time, she enjoys writing short poems but fears sharing them with an audience.

A fun fact about Jennifer is that she is an extreme coffee drinker – she can drink coffee all day and still go to sleep at night.

Glesly Cruz

Maintenance Coordinator

Glesly loves photography, especially capturing cityscapes, and enjoys cooking and baking for friends. Traveling to new places and reading different genres are her favorite pastimes.

One thing people might not know about her is that she is afraid of geckos – their sudden movements always catch her off guard.

Additionally, Glesly is not a coffee fan – in fact, she can stay up all night without needing a single cup.
